I can’t help but wonder as to the new craze of creating make shift shrines to lost loved ones at the site of accidents. I can fully sympathise with the grief and loss felt at the death of a loved one, but to create a shrine at the site of the death seems to me to be masochistic. If the need to create a shrine is overwhelming - misery loves company, so why not make everyone else aware of your loss - how about creating it somewhere you have good memories of the person so you can remember them happily; laughing and playful - rather than at the site of their final seconds passed in extreme pain before they shuffled off this mortal coil?
